
Hewlett-Packard plans to launch a smartphone designed for the consumption market(such as powerbook g4 12 battery) in a couple of months. That is at least what Wall Street Journal published, the same as The Register and The Inquirer, which mention some sources close to HP to announce the gadget that would be the new item of the company in the smartphone market. The mobile phone, whose name is not being revealed, would compete with the Apple iPhone and with the recently announced Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.
The new device would be categorized under the powerbook g4 battery and HP iPAQ linethat has been using the Windows Mobile operating system and that has been focused on the corporate market.
Details of this new device marketed to consumers are scarce except that it will have a touchscreen, keypad, and running Windows Mobile 6.1, according to the Wall Street Journal for our best vgp bps2a , vgp bps2c.
As for the release date, it could hit European retail stores by the end of 2008 and be released worldwide soon thereafter.
